The Scent
This scent is addictively intoxicating, thanks to the Labdanum (Rockrose), with its mysterious, rich aroma. Someone once described it as the scent of an old Rolls-Royce. Paired with the floral and instantly calming scent of Geranium and exotic Ylang Ylang, we find we reach for this as much for a mood booster as for the skin benefits.
Hydrosol
Hydrosols are the cellular water, or life force, of the plant containing properties not found in their essential oils.
Many of people don't realize that hydrosols predate essential oils by hundreds if not thousands of years. There is evidence of distillation as long as 5000 years ago. When you use a hydrosol, know that you are participating in an ancient healing ritual.
The process is a steam distillation of plant material in alembic stills. The resulting aromatic water contains the essence of everything that was contained within the plant.
The quality of water we apply topically is just as important as what we drink, as both enter our blood stream and have the capacity to transfer information or frequencies to our own cells. Our hydrosols are sourced from France and made with Spring water.
